Yes just like BT 2010 it is extremely unlikely you will receive a full copy of the agreement from the union.
dvbuk, I swear that you some times moan for the sake of it. People who really WANT to read the full agreement, who are really that interested, will almost certainly get to read it. They know they will be doubtless be able to get it via this site in due course. The problem the CWU face is that too many of the members are too apathetic. A big chunk of the membership will not even use their vote, when the deal is balloted on.
If the CWU posted out a full copy of a very lengthy document to every member, you'd probably be on here decrying the waste of union funds, arguing that a summary document would have sufficed !

I've never really understood this, why don't Royal Mail have to pay for a copy to be sent to every member?
It's their agreement too and it's not as if they're shy about sending us crap.

And you will probably laud any failure the union produce as a master stroke. People should be given a copy of the agreement that is to change their life whether they read it or not is up to them. This site is NOT financed by nor a part of the CWU. The apathy within the union is created by the union not the membership. There are things that I believe is a waste of funds, such as supposedly overdue holiday pay, but communicating with the membership is not one of them.

Why? because Royal Mail don't want it.

Why would they dissuade people from working for free? The problem is, people are only doing it in our office to complete, as the rounds are too big when above the model week, so it's not even as if they get to go home earlier than people doing the job correctly.

Madness.

As far as Royal Mail are concerned we need only have the bullet points, especially the ones about ££££.....
oh and the one that says that nice man from the CWU agrees it's a fab deal, he recommends you vote yes :cuppa

I tried everything to get a copy of BT2010 from the union, asked emailed texted and phoned, nothing if it hadn't been for this site i wouldn't of had a copy to shoot down the shite the union rep was coming out with.In fact he was quite shocked when i chucked the copy i printed off this site in front of him, and told him to show me where it stated the crap he had just spouted.

Maybe now most on here realise that the union will not stand up for them and they will have to do it for themselves and to hell with royalmail and it's corrupt management! I would rather be fired as a worker than be a management shirker licking arse all day!

I still don't understand why people are still banging on about excessive workloads. As long as everyone can accept it is no longer job and finish there is no problem. You cut off allowing for travel back to your office and finish on your time bringing the excess with you. Some of you need to man up
What you're saying is right and I won't go a second over my time this ended up in me being prep tested and charged with misconduct because my prep rate was below the office average, The CWU stood by and let this happen now the whole office are scared of working to their time in case the same happens to them. So its not as simple as saying man up.

Why did your rep allow this to happen? Ask him/her.

If not happy with the answers, speak with your Area rep.

You do not want a whole office in fear of management. Push daily to get issues addressed.

Your manager is stupid. For there to be an average at least half of the target group have to be below. Meaningless drivel that your rep should have blown out of the water. Unless, and I am not accusing you obviously, the subject was wilfully slow all the time even during the test (recognised ones), but more importantly there is no recognised prep test so how could you be conducted anyway.
