Yes just like BT 2010 it is extremely unlikely you will receive a full copy of the agreement from the union. It will probably be a brief pamphlet with a few bullet points highlighting the financial reward, how beneficial it is, how it's been a highly contested negotiation, how well the negotiators have battled for you, there's no Plan B, it is highly recommended to the membership to say YES.............oh and your subs are going up in JanuaryAhebban wrote:If our PEC is going to have the services of legal people available to unravel the legal-speak, who the fcuk is going to be looking after the humble postman in making sense of what is proposedThey will also have the solicitors explains the legally binding stuff

I still don't understand why people are still banging on about excessive workloads. As long as everyone can accept it is no longer job and finish there is no problem. You cut off allowing for travel back to your office and finish on your time bringing the excess with you. Some of you need to man up

Especially those wimpy part timers hey, you know those on 25 hour contracts who really need the job, have a family and mortgage and even though they may have other commitments feel obliged to work the hours at the drop of a hat to suit the business needs and are pushed into completing on a daily basis regardless of the workload. Bet you're not based in Londonarsenalbob wrote:I still don't understand why people are still banging on about excessive workloads. That's doubtful dingo.dingo wrote:The ballot has been agreed to be validated by the strike action of area reps and Divisional Reps next wednesday and therefore will be live and can be actioned if the members vote down any agreement.
By the time Christmas and any voting down has come and gone we'll be perilously close to the 12 week mark from the date of the ballot after which everything becomes legally dubious.
In my opinion it's nothing more than pointless playing to the crowd,A crowd that in the main will see right through it.We need to stop treating the membership like children even if some of them act like they are sometimes.

Well, let's hope Billy & Dave have not given too much away, pity Andy could not get a ground breaking agreement for his members in POL

As I've said same old same old, we have the same weary leadership leading a less than adequate PEC by the nose to ultimate disaster and I hope they get what they deserve. More importantly I hope the members of the CWU get what they truly deserve, good strong leadership with a passion for carrying out the wishes of the membership and NOT an agenda created for the perpetuity of the gravy train.daveyeff wrote:audits surveys and visits to D.O.s. to see what the problems are. they obviously dont even acknowledge that there are problems in the D.O.s...... aye, its ganna be another great deal for deliveries.dvbuk55 wrote:Really? We're still living the BT2010 agreement pants, and dingo has already said that RM aren't going back to job and finish which incidentally ended for most of us in 2007, 6 years ago and things are much worse in 2013 where you can't even get the job finishedpants123 wrote:cheers Dingo for your info, i do feel from the snippets of info you gave, it may be a better deal than the BT 2010 agreement..

Then you need to try a little harder.arsenalbob wrote:I still don't understand why people are still banging on about excessive workloads.
There's no shame in it occasionally,Start be getting rid of the assumption that everyone is like you, that usually helps.
You're not alone by the way, many at HQ don't understand either but then I think they think members are just making s**t up.

Easy. If they come in early and finish an hour early then they go back out to help those who are still working.knoxycube wrote:How could you go about stopping job and finish in your office? Today we had guys finishing an hour early and going home and I was an hour over

Re: Agreement reached 4th december
We have a real problem with the honesty of how some branches and reps report problems in their areas. That's pretty well documented through various ballots we've had, membership surveys and the bullying survey last year.
The idea that these same people will be charged with going out into the field and gathering evidence of problems in their own areas again is laughable...but at the same time not very funny.
Are we destined to repeat the same mistakes ad nauseum?

People finish early in my office. The management never send them back out to help other. They turn a blind eye because they have completed and don't cause problems.RTP wrote:Easy. POL biggest problem is that they don't have the membership they used to have.Red Robbo wrote:Well, let's hope Billy & Dave have not given too much away, pity Andy could not get a ground breaking agreement for his members in POL
Up my neck of the woods most post offices are franchised branches. Its very unlikely they've joined the union. And as they are franchised they have not been part of the industrial action. Therefore mail is still collected and disruption in that area is minimal.
So from what I can see the IA is not having impact it could have.

I've done 20 years hard graft for this company working whatever overtime i could get every day so i know what its like to need the money What i meant to say earlier is that nobody should go over their time without getting paid for it The financial pressure is off me now and i will not go even 5 minutes over my time in the way of good will as i know there is zero respect for me from the company. Why wouldn't i be based in London? The clue's in the name and i'm on my way there now

For standing up for myself today I've been moved off my signed for duty tomorrow as punishment. It doesn't bother me - I'll just file a grievance and watch it be ignored, but some people would be put off by such bullying tactics.arsenalbob wrote:I still don't understand why people are still banging on about excessive workloads.
