Really? We're still living the BT2010 agreement pants, and dingo has already said that RM aren't going back to job and finish which incidentally ended for most of us in 2007, 6 years ago and things are much worse in 2013 where you can't even get the job finished

mgmt encourage people to start early work for free, no breaks, no lwt finish early
others left to work to time take breaks , do job properly cut off guess who bad guys are
union at local area and national level well aware of what happens but dont want to take action
job and finish exists all over
cant wait till they all complain when asked for more savings

audits surveys and visits to D.O.s. to see what the problems are. they obviously dont even acknowledge that there are problems in the D.O.s...... aye, its ganna be another great deal for deliveries.

This is 100% true where I am based & pretty much all over the UK I would imagine.

Visits to DOs - by who? Area Reps/Div Reps? The very people who should have been visiting offices for the last three years and I haven't seen since God knows when. As I've said same old same old, we have the same weary leadership leading a less than adequate PEC by the nose to ultimate disaster and I hope they get what they deserve. More importantly I hope the members of the CWU get what they truly deserve, good strong leadership with a passion for carrying out the wishes of the membership and NOT an agenda created for the perpetuity of the gravy train.

We've had a new DOM for the last few months,an absolute nightmare,totally ignores national agreements,bullys staff to the extent theres grievances going in left right and center.One of them was witnessed by a manager,this grievance went in at the beginning of october and the victim has heard absolutely nothing,supposed to get a response within 28 days FFS.
RM routinely bully and harass their staff,they can agree any deal knowing full well they wont adhere to it, and the union are powerless to stop it.

If our PEC is going to have the services of legal people available to unravel the legal-speak, who the fcuk is going to be looking after the humble postman in making sense of what is proposed

You never will. Unless you introduce a clocking in and out system.

I came in on time today, and arrived to see a couple of guys had already thrown their rounds in, so they must have been there a good 30 minutes before their time.

As soon as they had left the office, I had my line-manager breathing down my back, obviously wondering why I was still there, after telling him I wasn't going to complete. The people who do the job properly unfortunately have to develop a thick skin and just not let it bother them. I'll be filing more grievances than I will have time to write, over the Xmas pressure, but it's part of the battle.
