I think your right on that but also I remember if you strike for 2 hours don't you lose a days pay. I remember years ago the staff weren't happen when they found out in there wagesstephen500 wrote:heard 15 mins is dodgy on legal grounds and the union may come a cropper.

I'm just waiting for the punchline. Something along the lines of "oh wait, it looks like they might not be going out for 15mins anymore, they're having extended talks tonight after tea"

because they haven't balloted for action short of a strike. So to do so would be illegal and potentially expensive for the CWU.worktotime wrote:why didn't the cwu call work to rule for Wednesday and show r/m what the job is really like , no early starts , etc.

Re: 15 mins of strike action to be taken
I have no doubt that this 15 min strike by full release reps has been discussed with Royal Mail and if not officially sanctioned it's probably with the understanding that it won't be legally challenged.stephen500 wrote:heard 15 mins is dodgy on legal grounds and the union may come a cropper.
Why would they go to the expense of challenging it?
It's not as if it's going to hurt them in any way.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Even if they did it wouldn't help - in the worst case all funds are frozen.

Re: 15 mins of strike action to be taken
Its so pathetic-15mins:'( perhaps they should listen to alice cooper " schools out for summer" cos its so childish. Like worktotime said- they will have a laugh and joke with management or go to pub for a half and claim it on expenses!!!
