Flexibility

Post by Beforenineoclockgoodone »

Who in their right minds are gonna run round their delivery being efficient & doing the job properly, & get back to the office only to be met by a manager saying "go out with half of that delivery for me seeing though you are back" he would only get back first once after that, This is all going a full circle from years ago, where nobody will come back early because of the chance of being victimised coz you have done you're job too well?

This is what I see the problem being as well. His way will punish the keen ones wanting to do well, and reward the slackers. Their usual lack of forward thinking.

I dont think so anymore, theyll have to be there because of the number of people cutting off, or people coming back early and them having to find something else for them to do. Its unlikely that people will actually come back early but the DOMs will be instructed that they need to make sure those people work their full hours.

:funneh It's took long enough to try to get through to them up until now!
once they come back off delivery using their car to find they have to do another street because they came back early then I think theyll get the message.

I have tried for ages to get this message thru to many of my colleagues and now good old AC has done it for me. My office is working to rule and I'm told will continue to do so until this flexible hours nonsense is dropped.

No chance. The managers leave early anyway - it's unlikely they'll be around much after 11 :no no
Besides, are the screws intending on doing flexitime too?

What's all this coming back to the office mullarkey? At our office we don't go back we finish out on our deliveries and go home! That's why loads use their cars and rush around because they have an incentive to.If we had to return to the office we'd be cutting off or leaving stuff more than we do now.
