Leaving christmas temp work after 2 days

Hi, does anyone know what the procedure is for leaving for Royal mail christmas temps.

At the registration event I was given the offer letter for the night shift 10pm-6am. At the induction the other night we were told that it would be more likely 1am-5am.

After deductions and travel costs i will be left with around £60 per week, not worth the hassle really. It would'nt too bad if I lived closer to the mail centre, but I have a 45 mile round journey which over 5 days will cost me around £60. Wish they had made it more clear at the registation event. quite a few of the people were peed off about this.

Personally I wouldn't bother, hardly looked after you.

It could be worse. You could've been moved over to Angard.

Just call the mail centre and explain that to them, they will send you out a P45,,,never heard of them not wanting people in at 10 though...usually they need a lot of bods at the beginning of the shift to clear all the crap left by the ate shift

Hi if you ring 0845 600 1785 you can end your job and withdraw your application. Might just be worth doing it this way as you never know if you might want to apply to royal mail for something else down the line, probably wont make a lot of difference but its sometimes best to do things the right way for your own benefit.

We were promised 3pm to 11 pm and they are making us work 3pm to 7pm.

Mate were doing the same, were still getting done the full 8 on pay though so happy days
