mon to fri
Hi guys, recently been offered a job working weekends, mainly Saturdays some Sundays, that's too good to turn down but the problem is I work most Saturdays at royal mail. What's my chances of making my contract mon to fri? Who do I speak to as I know my manager will just shrug his shoulders?

None - for 2 reasons
1. The man shrugging his shoulders is the one who will probably make the decision.
2. The contract you signed when you started - I believe it says in some form or another than whilst working for Royal Mail then it takes precedence.
It won't fall under family friendly, or Equality. Its a very long shot but the only way you could swing it that I can see, is to apply for any duties that don't work on Saturdays but I am guessing they are rarer than a dodo.

Re: mon to fri
If you'd rather do the other job Saturday maybe you could find people to pay and cover your duty Saturdays? All you'd be paying out is the money Royal Mail would have paid you for that day anyway.
