So what you are saying is that the PEC promised us that they were meeting today, Monday, but have decided against that and also not to inform us through the official channels!
Would it be a surprise if you had to feed back the we weren't happy about the communication from a communication union?
The PEC did meet this morning and after a report decided to adjourn till tomorrow and allow negotiations to continue. Clearly there has been progress but no agreement yet.

I can understand if something worthwhile come out of all this but so far all we've gathered is its the same deal especially where any pay rise is involved, was this whole thing just a sham by RM? Add in a no strike clause get the union backs up then save 50 mill in back pay for shareholders? ......rant over...

Well last time we actually did strike before the "interim agreement", whereas this time we seem to have caught the Spanish disease.

No there has been no change.
What happens is the talks were extended to the 10th Dec by BOTH sides, but the CWU PEC had to make a decision on whether to give RM a strike notice by the 3rd to make any strike legal.

That's about 6 we've drawn.
180 were challenged by Travers to die with a line that he drew with his sword when the battle was nigh - he actually only drew the line once and they were subsequently massacred.....................apparently he wasn't much of a talker..............but the legend lives on. Perhaps what we need is for someone to fall on a sword as a gesture - just imagine how legendary it would be in the annals of the CWU if, even at this late stage, the PEC was to call a strike.......I would not be worthy

A shambles. Still, at least the share price has gone up in reaction to the unions newest capitulation.
IF and its a big IF IRC there have been 2 or 3 extensions only.
It seems more because the Union has to give 7 days notice to strike which means on each extension they need to make a decision 7 days before. So each extension has been 2 weeks, but the Union has had to make an announcement every week, that's why there seems to have been loads of extension when in fact there hasn't.
