it boils my piss no end. ive made my point on here about it plenty of times. its patronising shite. and a complete waste of time and money. and now its making me paranoid. the courier came today, and had no less than FOUR wcm leaflets inside it, all exactly the same. do they know its me who hates it??? so was it deliberate?? seems like it.!! even more piss boiling shite which boiled my piss to vapourising point was the fact that a cwu rep was bang in the middle of the page with a stupid ''happy as a pig in shite'' grin on his face, promoting the garbage. they've even built model gardens with doorsteps to highlight potential hazards. JEEEESUS.,,,,AND, he,s even checking peoples treads on their shoes weekly. what a complete TWAT. rant owwa.

When I asked the WCM rep why all the Japanese word references and the mix up of using the 5s protocols - at first she scratched her head and said they had to use japanese words as that is what royal mail have told them to use and with regards to how they listed up the 5s incorrect and on both input/thruput/output stages as terms of blockage points all referencing different points but nothing joined up or linked she said 'dunno, that's just how I've been told to do it'



I casually pointed out all the spelling mistakes she had put on the graphs too.

Don't get me wrong, a 'version' of WCM would be good and to be honest it's whats needed in the business. NOT the way RM have designed and managed it though. You cannot deploy things on a 'You Must Do This The Way We Tell you ' way of thinking.

You need the input of experienced staff who have trodden all the boards and know the game. - not a freckle face whipper snapper with a new laptop.

The Old version was "Sitting with Nelly", being that the oldest employee at some cotton mills was called "Nelly" lol!
She'd sit down and teach the newbees all the elements of how the mill worked etc.
Passing on old knowledge to new people makes sense...as long as it's Logical.

The Jap words' use was questioned early on. Someone asked why, when the English language is the most descriptive language there is, are Jap words used for various things, and the pseudo-intellectual answer was that they sound "technical" and "precise" and therefore give the presentations an air of authority and intelligence.
Clearly using the Jap word is a code for those in-the-know, and sounds a lot better than the English version which could actually be "handing out the crayons" or "discussing last nights' footie results"

Clearly since the whole thing is nicked from the Ford/Toyota Production Systems and the entire ethos is to eliminate waste or non-value time or muda, mura, muri to give it it's Jap term...the idea that Royal Mail has implemented it by installing a whole new level of incredibly expensive waste would have Ford and Toyoda spinning in their graves.

The entire point of lean manufacturing is that it should make you leaner...
