The Wright Stuff TV

Post by Senior Service »

Small debate just now on the Wright Stuff TV program, several points came up

Our average wage was quoted as £17,000 not the £450 or so as quoted by RM
A very good defence of us by Kay Adams asking what management have been doing over the last ten years
A phone in poll in which 55% said we did not have our heads buried in the 1970's
40% loss of business was quoted but a phone in postman made the point we still deliver it
Cherry picking by private firms was mentioned
Kay Adams also said we are a public service and should be judged as such

All in all not too bad

Changed my mind on Kay Adams she did make some good points. The no pay for door to doors was not said as that would take the weekly wage done further, but limited time. All in all good debate :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana

What a joke that was, Mathew 'smug arrogant i'll do anything to further my non existant career' Wright, a celebrity chef, a judge from strictly come dancing and Kay Adams. The perfect ingredient for an informed debate. They didn't have a clue.
I wouldnt dream of telling you that your Tangos a bit limp, so keep your misguided comments to yourself.
His exact words were ' If you are not happy with the pay then get off your arse and find yourself another job'.

 Slowly & gradually we are getting more & more coverage in the newspapers & on T.V. I think that we are all aware that they are only concerned with newsworthy stories ..... BUT ..... the truth is emerging & Brown will have to weigh up his chances! Stay with :lfo & :cfo & kiss goodbye to any chance in a 2009 general election ..... OR stop the downward spiral of the finest postal system in the world & bow to common sense! For purely selfish reasons Brown will change camps ..... he is a politician! :lfo & :cfo will be rewarded by massive payouts ..... BUT ..... no matter. Brown MUST get rid of them if only to salvage his credibility. Contact your local papers ..... telephone your local radio stations ..... keep going until the public are aware EXACTLY how mismanagement & poor 'leadership' has caused this strike!

Agree,Kay was spot on and laid the blame at Senior Management :Applause
Wright,he thinks its no win for us,but does not understand we have no other alternative,he does not know the full extent of there business plan and the affect it will have on us and the service.
Most points were covered by the 2 posties who phoned in including d2drs for nothing and covering A/L/ and S/L at no cost.
Wright also mentioned our pensions issue as well.
A decent debate for our cause i thought
