According to myroyalmail.com, the extension is now for 2 weeks not 1 week till 3rd December

Well to continue beyond the last 7 days was supposedly illegal and yet lo and behold the lawyers miraculously found that it really wasn't and could extend it for a further 7 days................those same lawyers are probably already working on how to skirt round the USO and these "ground breaking" legally binding agreements.
Sounds like a deal is almost done except for issues in DO which need to resolve to many negative comments an agreement like this won't be easy personally I thing CWU doing a good job lets wait and see what they. Come up before ppl slag the union off remember union haters your SA payments holiday pay sick pay bonuses AL reduction in working week who do u think got all these Santa Claus yes they aren't perfect but if we didn't have them we would resemble the working conditions at amazon any one see that panorama doc horrible working conditions
The christmas bonus is of secondary importance to reaching an agreement that once and for all irons out the problems in delivery. If this is achieved as a result of prolonged negotiations then so be it. If it has to be achieved as a result of strike action as Royal Mail will not go the extra mile then also so be it. Monetary issues such as a christmas bonus must not take centre stage and influence the outcome. These next few days should be a significant period in whether Royal Mail acknowledges and plays a part in recognising and respecting the work delivery staff do and their physical and mental well being.

Well if management refuse to negotiate at the company's busiest time of year then i think the shareholders may have something to say about that. They are now king but could still be used to our advantage. The time is long past but not too late to up the ante and put pressure on Moya and her cronies.
Lets give the union and the lawyers they are employing time to get this right,the big problem with the 2010 agreement was that both sides interpreted the agreement differently but this time we have lawyers from both sides writing the agreement .

And that proves what exactly? Remember how the final extension was legally the last extension..........well it was until the lawyers managed to find that really it wasn't and as far as the CWU lawyers involvement - how involved would they be do you think.
How will we put the squeeze on Royal Mail now after the 9th of December all out or one day in one day out! One day strikes will not cut it from here on in they the Royal Mail have stalled us for time and time again we need action not excuses!

There isn't going to be any strikes k9, that horse has already bolted, the threat was never serious and this has all been a charade for the membership.
Why don't someone put a poll up for DELIVERERS, yes or no to action for better delivery management etc?
Obviously managers aren't going to strike, collections are probably happy, mc workers are probably happy, night men are probably happy etc, so why not just ballot the DELIVERERS for action and that way there will probably be a 100% turnout and 100% yes votes.
