It doesnt matter what kind of education you have, why arent you doing something "better" if youre so educated ? Maybe youre not as smart as you like to believe ?. You sound like a university drop out whos dad put him in charge of the family business and you managed to run it into the ground and are now very bitter.

Good luck to you. You arnt staying with R.M. for long. But you and many like you are f***ing it up for the average working man and his family struggling to feed their families on the s**t money we get. We like and care for the job we do we are here for the long term as many of us have no option to get work else where as many delivery offices are in rural areas. So i hope you can sleep at night knowning that you are helping Royal Mail rip off its work force even more.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Floater, I'm glad you've enjoyed yourself these past few days. But remember, the Manager won't always be taking you up the ronson everyday. It's just that we've been busy fighting for a decent living while you are being rogered like you did at that boarding school of yours. I do hope he used protection.

POSTMAN wrote:Hey folks,

Yep, its Manpower hiring casuals for em, Im one of em!

So far Ive managed to not break picket lines, and never will do. I was lucky though, cos first day was Saturday and agency told me Im not allowed to cross the lines on my first day, so instead of 7am I just turned up at 12 when it finished. Im supposed to go break strike today too, but said I cant work today cos of family emergency...

f***ing hard though, Im desperate for the money, got rent to pay and 50 quid to last me two weeks.... Oh well.

Two of us went down to the picket line in Reading on Friday. Was good, they seem pretty determined, and said the strike was solid. We saw one lorry go in (agency driver), but it came out about 5 mins later so cant have been carrying much.

They also said the rolling strike idea is great (which I thought it wasnt?) cos it causes real bad backlogs?

Hmm...

Quality stuff :Applause
