The hardship is the increased weight from 6+ D2D. The hardship is bundles full of D2Ds which increase the amount of bundles which means longer out on delivery. The hardship is prepping the D2Ds which is suppose to be built into the duty (Garbage!!) Cutting off is fine but the pressure us posties are put under makes it terrible to deal withhampshireman wrote:Timelord wrote:As long as RM are making a nice profit from the rubbish we deliver they don't give a monkey's what hardship they cause the postie on delivery.
Okay; maybe I don't understand. What is the actual hardship ?
Thanks

Re: The ultimate D2D?
My trolley never complains about the increased weight!
By pressure do you mean pressure put on you by managers when you threaten to cut off? As long as you are honest then all your manager can do is scowl, complain and give you dirty looks - and they shouldn't be doing that!

Re: The ultimate D2D?
Five this week( including Aldi one) and seven last week. I do remember having to deliver some kind of Oil of Ulay/Olay pouch that didn't fit through many letter box's. That must have been about 20 years ago, stuck in my throat a bit because i did all of mine by Tuesday and then got punted onto a rural for the rest of the week to cover sick absence, surprise surprise, he hadn't started them. Manager said i had to do them all and wouldn't even give me Saturday extension on them either. Good money though, unlike now..............................

I cut off every day. The increased weight of D2D's is not material (you should split it down ... RM speak of course)andy3665 wrote:The hardship is the increased weight from 6+ D2D. The D2ds are meant to be built into prep time.. Maybe , like you I am not sure if that is applied.

Re: The ultimate D2D?
the longer you take writing out 739's the less mail you can deliver, because of the time spent on the doorstep
