I thought last week they said this was the final 7 day extension. Low and behold its been extended again for another 7 days. Do they not know the meaning of the word final? The update thats just been released tells us nothing, talks are progressing! Absolute joke.

Well if it's a joke, it's not one were we should be laughing, we're more likely to be being laughed at by RM

Just what in deliveries are the union asking for, do we know and is that the real sticking point?

Does anyone have any inside info on what the sticking points are to reaching an agreement ?If its delivery issues then we all know delivery staff stick together !! Not !!If we all did the job properly on delivery and stuck together we wouldn't be in this mess !

We would not be in this mess if everyone had not fell for the last deal in 2009!

TBH if I was a full time employee of the CWU, a member of the PEC or a negotiator I would be truly embarrassed to look an ordinary paying member of the union in the eye. The blokes who turn in day in day out, week in and week out, hail, rain, snow or shine and pay their subs to maintain a union that is supposed to look after their interests - yes those ordinary members.

Your comment is a wise one. I voted no to accept the last deal and looked beyond the money that was offered as did thousands of others but unfortunately not enough did. I'm a big supporter of the union and the fantastic job that many reps do in delivery offices. We need to be honest about what big Billy and Dave will really be up to behind closed doors though and that is looking to protect their own power and positions within RM operations. Maybe they need a wake up call with the next ballot to accept what will no doubt be quite a poor agreement. Also if they said that the week just gone was going to be the final chance for an agreement before industrial action which unless my eyes are deceiving me they did, then that means they have lied to union members who pay their salaries. This is quite serious if looked at objectively.

You can read my post's from then I rejected that so called deal the "Beyond 2010 Agreement" as a shameful agreement and one we would one day look back on as a failure that day is NOW! We need a good agreement if not we should all go out and get that agreement that we deserved four years ago!

Amazingly the union is trying to get the best possible result for deliveries, yet some people in deliveries just want to get on the street!

You haven't got a clue whether the unions leaders are trying to get the best possible result for deliveries or not unless you have been party to the talks! Wake up and smell the coffee and look at the history of previous agreements that have left deliveries that are in the state they are in today and come out of the Royal Mail 'all you need is love' advertisement mode hahaha. Time for action, has been for a long time truth be told.
