Confirmed
A week of intensive talks between CWU and Royal Mail reached its deadline today (Wednesday 20 November). Upon reaching this deadline the following statement has been issued:
'There has been further progress in the negotiations between Royal Mail and CWU. Accordingly, both sides have agreed to an extension of the ballot deadline to allow for talks to continue. This is the final extension and is agreed for a further seven days.
'The CWU postal executive will meet on Monday the 25th November to consider the detailed position and determine whether industrial action should be announced.'
There is no further public information at this time.

Laughing stock!
If the ballot results were for the cwu to flex their muscles. Then these extensions are rm slapping arses and putting cwu in their place. Only because they are being allowed to do it. Shouldn't have given one extension!

I keep hearing about Royal mail wanting flexible working,So basically Banking our hours.
I Hope this doesn't happen,By putting us on later and later starts they have cost me a fortune in childminding fees and this would just cost me even more,Stick it out if this is the case CWU im behind you all the way.

Re: Talks extended for another week.
on the shopfloor our reps don't have any new info or won't even talk to us, poor comms with them and rm. the relentless b&h and collapsing just goes on and the bosses are doing less and laughing at us . Greater sickness benefits must also come from this deal.
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

Exactly what role do you think Billy Hayes has played in the ongoing negotiations?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Maybe Billy is still more worried about the carrier bags that he brought up on a live television interview

and lost his bollocks wearing a egg stained shirt with the cuffs of his jacket wet with larger and beer then slur his
way through some make beleave story that the negotiations are going well and moya looks better after a few drinks.
then a reporter will ask why has this taken so long to get an agreement and his answer will be
you can not blame me for the last 7 months of the negotiations i have not been there.
