OT At Mount Pleasant.

Hello guys!

Since I am on 25hrs contract, thinking of doing some ot at mount pleasant mail center. Is there any chance to get ot on regular basis to make up 40hrs a week?

I left Mount Pleasant earlier this year, but there has been virtually no overtime there for years, except for a bit in December for Xmas pressure.

If you're on ot ,,bin informed last month that it needs to go down as either extended del,or ips , is this another way of putting ppl off putting any ot in?

It might be a way of establishing if it is indoor pressure or outdoor pressure.

What about that 2nd class diversion work from Jubilee MC? Are they not getting people to do it as overtime?

There is still over 130 full time staff surplus in the Mount which is why there is little overtime and the reason why they still have over 100k of inward foreign from HWDC.

One question why is there so many surplus staff at The Mount?

Surplus staff from East London MC, Nine Elms MC, Paddington MC, North London MC, and Rathbone Place (W.1) DO have all gone into Mount Pleasant in the last few years when their offices were shut.
A lot of MP staff have transferred out to HWDC, Greenford MC, and other MCs and DOs around London. Many have taken VR/EVR, but there are those who are unable to transfer out, or will not get a VR/EVR payment sufficient for them to live on. Management expect the surplus to dwindle through natural wastage.

Blimey over 130 surplus full time staff... the poor sods must be bored to tears trying to fill an 8 hour shift with f***all work to do.

My heart goes out to them.
