OVERTIME AND ALLOWANCES

hi, chatting with a colleague last night and this subject came up,can anyone explain why you cannot claim an allowance when doing overtime,e.g. working your night off and covering an allowance post.

It is in the way forward agreement that no allowances are due for attendances on OT or SA

According to the Way Forward agreement (page 6), if you are part-time and receiving an assigned shift allowance then overtime hours up to 39 hours include a pro-rata of the shift allowance. This also applies to London Weighting and RRIS payments
