xmas plans - be merry - very merry.
I love xmas pressure, plenty of sorting overtime, plenty of excess to book (all overtime paid at S/A rate in our office), plenty of nice customers thrusting money into my hands, xmas cd playing in the van, more work to do but who cares it's only for a few weeks, then for the last couple of days of pressure watching all the deferred mail start to pile up in the office for delivery from 27th onwards knowing i'm off until the 2nd week in January.
Xmas ? If you just shut your eyes it might all go away. No plans in our office yet, however it is only mid November.
I know we'll just operate on a " wing and a prayer ". Maybe time to get the WCM team involved.
For the first time ever,i am really dreading Christmas.If the last week is anything to go by,my MC is going to be in absolute chaos.The way the place is run is pure slap stick comedy.
Christmas is no different than any other time of the year for me. I come in on time, take my break on time, go home on time simple. Let the asshole's who come in early work their break and prep D2D in their own time worry about xmas
I'm loving some of these replies sounds like my kinda attidue especially after my manger told me today that people should not cut of at Xmas n help Royal Mail out because they let us pick our own holidays WTF!!!!! haha

I can't do everything and that's my plan this year.
So far, we have acquired an extra DOM (seconded from WCM who don't celebrate Christmas apparently) to bully and harass staff in a kind of good cop / bad cop tag team setup.
And absorbing has been renamed "seasonal savings" to get us in the festive mood.
Can't wait to see what else they have planned, really too excited already.
