I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

people are stupid surely you come into work to earn as much money as you can, people who come in a hour early potentially losing a hour + over time a day and use there cars just give royal mail excuses to change our jobs for the worse.

Welcome aboard.

We`ll never get all the half-wits out of their cars ,but if we can just get half of them on the vans we`ll be on a winner. :nana :nana :nana :nana

Totally agree. After all how many T.N.T.,U.P.S. drivers use their own cars? Surely its good P.R. to have ROYAL MAIL vans up and down the streets of the U.K. not joe soaps old banger. When will these pratts learn that we have one of the most valuable brands in the industry it just dont make sense to have us driving our own cars loaded with mail. Only when someone gets killed during a raid on mail will the little twats running the delivery offices get told to pull thier finger out on this one. Which one of you twits using your cars wants to be the first to be bashed on the head by a junkie trying to nick your mail load????? What no volunters? why not? Like mummy said JUST SAY NO !!!!

Although I am all for coming in on time and taking your breaks,to go on the vans at our office would have a crippling effect on the office and customers if not thought through properly first,as the nature of the area favours the car over the van.

On the picket line I noticed strong support from the public and we must consider them when thinking of working to rule as to alienate them will hand more power to :lfo and :cfo.

The new trike looks like a good alternative though as it has a boot and there will be no dependency on vans or bag drops.

why are you striking then ? is that not an inconvenience to the public ???
everyone using the vans is the same thing, its showing our true worth to RM management. The idea is to cripple the management into submission and get what we want from the deal not pick what parts of the unions action we like. Picking and choosing will weaken the unions position and stretch the strike out over a much longer period bringing longer distruption to ourselves, RM and the public.

Work To Rule

Post by Wild Cat »

This happened at a local office to mine and the Posties cannot walk down the street or go shopping in their uniform without facing public anger.

Bearing in mind what happened there I do not want that repeated at our office,so any work to rule must be carefully thought out first so as not to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Each office has it's own individual problems so I can only speak for our office and not anyone else's.
