Cycle 2 work scheme

It's http://www.myroyalmail.com/benefits" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; then you can either choose Cycle2work (Halfords) and get a 10% discount or Cycleplus (independent shops) and receive a 5% discount. Seems more confusing to me but at least the limit has been raised to £1000

when is the 10% discount apllied, I have printed off a form for a bike from halfords but havent sent it off yet, is there an expiry date for this form to be sent off. All it says on the form to be sent off is monthly payment £48.73, I know this is pre tax and the cost is around £33.00 a month, but no mention of this 10% deal??

LOC is issued within 10 days after 15th of each month, usually. I received mine this morning.

Hi. Can I use the £1000 to go towards a bike that's a bit more expensive? Say a £1300 bike?

HI, one of the guys in our Office states that RM have upped their level to £1,000 for a bike on the Cycle to Work scheme...
and that its NOT just a Halfords deal too.
SO..Is he right and if so, has anyone done a deal on this new scheme yet?
Got my eye on a Giant Talon (27.5) 2014, which is around the £1,000 mark.

Its 10% off the repayments you get a letter for 1000 and pay back 900 less tax

Not so bad! I just got me the 2013 boardman hybrid pro yesterday down to £809.99, better spec than the 2014 one, and nicer looking. Great bike i would recommend it to anyone.

I`ve been looking at electric bikes and the sites say you can pay £1ooo for the bike and the rest separately for battery, rack etc.

Thats different. A loophole which would not be possible with a normal bike.

My experiences recently....
Unable to utilise the On Line application to the Cycling scheme, so I rang them and requested to do it over the phone. They agreed by email.

Quotation arrived, so tried to ring them...0845 Number.

I pressed One for RM staff, it went dead. I tried Two, to leave a message, it went dead.
I repeated this another 4 - 5 times, and still the same result.

I emailed them with my problems and asked them to get back to me asap, to sort it out etc.
No reply as yet.

I think I've saved myself a £1,000 due to the poor/lack of service....
I'll look elsewhere at the Post-Christmas sales.

Just tried this but cannot register because my tax code is not valid according to this broken website. I'm putting in exactly what it says on my payslips and my P60 from last year which is 0T/0 also tried OT/O just in case it's O and not Zero.
