I've just been offered a Temporary Christmas Mail Sorter position at Heywood Distribution Centre. I have to attend for induction at 0600hrs on 19 November.
I was a delivery postman for three years—some fourteen years ago—and I stated as a casual then, so I know what to expect as a Royal Mail new starter.
However, I do have two questions:
1) Is Heywood opened only at Christmas, or is it operational all year long?
2) Does anybody work there now, or have you worked there in the past, and if so, what’s it like?

Re: Heywood Distribution Centre
Thanks for that, Trueblue. It's what I'd thought.
