Yes how hypocritical for RM to try to win businesses in order to pay your f******g wages. I cannot remember the "good old days" so lovingly described in the ridiculously naive and utopian article but then I've only been in the business for 30+ years and I think this must have been at least 40 odd years ago. Of course I have seen them recreated on occasions since then but only in certain locations - you know Trumpton and Candlewick Green.

What cheeses me off is that for years we've brought up in wtl that as the competition advertise perhaps we should too. Told time and again that there was no need as we are such a large brand, so recognisable that it would be money down the drain. Bizarre argument when coca-cola, mcdonalds and every other brand out there do it. Then, no sooner is the ink dry on privatisation here we are with Love, love, love rammed down our throats 6 times a day. Funny that....

So he's got too much work and he doesn't want any more? That's where he's coming from? - Well why doesn't he just say so instead of dressing it up as a romantic notion of posties as some kind of charity workers holding society together with a cheery wave and a birthday card from "Granny Smith"?hubbahubba wrote:Maybe if you were the one struggling with the oversized rounds esp at this time of year, you may get where he's coming from...Brain Fury wrote:Yes how hypocritical for RM to try to win businesses in order to pay your f******g wages.
