HELP!! Manager trying to take overtime back off us!!!

Thank you thats great, i thought it didnt sound right what he was saying but he told the whole office?? so made me think twice, thats the trouble with being in a small office of 50 people,he thinks he can say what he wants to us and we will believe him, do you know where i can get this info in writting so i can show him next time he tries this trick on us?

Im a bit scared of Cutting of because its a rare thing in our office because the DOM usually hits the roof and demands some explanation why we are going over and wont listen when i say ive got alot of mail, late of sorting etc, he wont reason with me, then he just trys to baffle me with facts n figures and i feel lost with it all

I am concerned with your reply with regards to the "cutting off " procedure and the aggrevation you seem to to be getting from your DOM, you should NOT feel scared in your workplace, and if you do you should have the facts to back this up,so quote this:

he cannot bank hours,ask him to show you a national agreement where its says he can bank hours. Plus his behavior & attitude towards you is clearly bullying and harassment. You need to speak to your rep or contact your branch & put in a bullying and harassment case against him asap. In the meantime i would not do any ot at all, this sort of thing needs sorting as he is overstepping the line by a country mile.

Thanks im trying my hardest to stand up to him but its hard when so many others back down even tho they know hes in the wrong makes me and the lesser few look like a trouble causers, ive had enough of his bullying techniques tho, especially when my pay is involved, thank god there is a site like this else id be lost !! do you know how about i get in contact with Moya greens office .thank you!

He is just trying to intimidate you,bullies always try to shout you down,if he persists with this report him to his Area Manager. Tell him you will be spoken to with respect and you are putting a grievance in with union help.

Dont shout or threaten in any way walk away write everything down GET A REP INVOLVED he is way out of order!!!!

If you have a smart phone, use the voice recorder to record any conversations you have with him,the realisation that his superiors will get to hear his threatening behaviour might make him think twice, or at least you will have copy of what was said, so you can correctly put any complaint in writing .

Thank you all very much for your replies they have been very useful and helpful, I sent an email to just say it last night, stating more or less what I said about overtime being taken off us from previous weeks,changing docket sheets etc etc pressured into overtime and intimidated by my manager, I was pleased when I had a reply this morning from a member of the just say it team, stating they are very sorry to hear about what is been happening, Moya has asked her to look into this and contact my managers senior management to find out what's been going on, they asked for my permission to use my comments from my email and I agreed, so I guess I've just got to wait and see and get ready for the backlash from my manager when he finds out who sent the email to just say it, very nervous but this needs to be sorted, just needed support from others that he was in the wrong and that I am entitled to make a complaint, thanks again for your advice, hopefully this might help somebody else reading this forum as well :)

It's good your in the union but why not bring them into meetings with you! and why is the rep allowing your manager to act like this
