We have been told by a dum that they will try and use the new no cut off policy to make us clear the mail by saying it is a late posting but our unit rep is pretty much on the ball and ready to fight it.

I thought the no cut off policy was part of the inflexibility stuff they are bringing in, and as none of it has we can still cut off.

Why are some of you guys saying there is a no cut off time policy. If your time is say 14.00 everyday, as long as you work to your time there is nothing they can do about it. They are not paying you overtime but if they were, overtime is volantary so you don't have to do it. What if you have other comitments like kids etc........they are only paying you till 14.00 so that is the time we finnish AND THAT IS THAT ! R M pay me for 40 hours a week THEY DO NOT OWN MY ARSE, I have a family and other comitments out side these hours that are far more important than putting money in doziers & lazyton's pockets :no no :no no :no no

Why are the starting times getting later. I don't understand. I wanted this job because of the early 4-5am starts. Keeping most of the afternoon.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Management seem to think all offices that are working to the later start times, now accept it?
Cant see this being true myself!
Reason for wildcat walkouts is the executive actions taking place at selected offices, and it not being acceptable to the vast majority in these offices.

There comes a time everyone needs to stand up and be counted.

f**k them right up mate by insisting you dont want to carry more than 5kg in your bags (predominantly stairs 5kg) let them drop bags to your feet or make your duty smaller with the time it takes to walk back to a pouch box.
