Attendance procedure clarification

I need some clarification. I have asked managers and they don't seem to know themselves, u can't ring HR cause they won't tell you. Am I still on a stage 1 or not? I was off back in February coming back early April. I have went 6 months now without an abscence till now. Am I off my stage or on my stage? Any body with 100% clarity would be much appreciated.

You are off. But the absence will still count towards any other stages if you go sick within 12 months.

Simply put - or as simply as I can

All absences within a 12 month rolling period count towards a stage. But if you are on a stage and do not go sick for 6 months you clear all stages. So its possible for 1 particular absence to cause more than 1 stage to be issued - or at least thats how I read it.

Just I've been told that absences before the new procedure came in still run the year? Is that true. Will HR clear this up for me? Very confused.

No what you've been told is wrong - the link I posted says this

TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS

This will be straight forward for most parts of Royal Mail Group. No one will be disadvantaged in comparison to what would have happened had they stayed on the current procedure. Where the new arrangements are of benefit by coming off the procedure more quickly, this will be implemented from the date of introduction.

The psp doesn't show that I'm off any stage at my office. Does that mean I'm still on it or have they not been updated?

When did you received your stage 1?
It's 6 months from date of issue not the date you returned to work.

It was before 31 April for sure. But still shows up as stage issued. I'm not so sure that these are 6 months. Maybe it's just ones after the change date.

It still "counts" as a part-day absence but would not normally be considered towards the formal process. If the number of part-day absences has become excessive, the matter will be discussed with the employee in line with the principles of the Attendance Agreement. Further part day absences may be counted against the attendance standards, following advance written notice

You are clear M8y. new attendance procedure started 27/05/13... psp will Not be updated... no one repeat no one has received confirmation that they are on/off a stage, even thou they were supposed to, any probs with this speak to your Rep or Area Rep if not in Union its a hard road for you

How can the same absence trigger two reviews?
My position is that all absences up to the day of the meeting are included in the attendance discussion for that review.
As such if it triggers a stage it then becomes "spent" otherwise if you were off for more than 14 days you would still technically be in breach of the attendance procedure even after a 6 month stage and the whole thing would make no sense.
