THE former Carlsberg distribution centre in Leeds has been let to Royal Mail.
The firm is leasing the 155,000 sq ft building, branded Blue Steel 45, on a short-term basis.
Located within Cross Green Industrial Estate, east of Leeds city centre, it is thought to be one of the largest modern distribution units available in Leeds.
As the unit is let short term, property agent GVA is continuing to market the building on a leasehold and long leasehold basis on behalf of AD Rodger and RN Phillips, joint LPA receivers.
Iain McPhail, associate at GVA, said: “The property has seen strong interest since becoming available.
“It has benefited from the recent infrastructure improvements to the Cross Green Industrial Estate including the opening of Junction 45 of the M1 and upgrade of the A63 Pontefract Lane which links the estate with the M621.”
BNP Paribas Real Estate advised the tenant on the deal.
