Well that may be ok for you whipper snappers but it wouldn't earn me much in ten years I'd be 77 You take yours weekly and I'll have mine in one go.

My 15p and hour would make the £300 in a year and continue on into future pay rises.

£2 a week would mean £104 in 1 year and it would take just under 3 years to make the original £300. Meanwhile in 10 years without any pay rises you would have earned approximately £3,000.

The 300 was in the first offer which was taken off the table so an improved offer could be made. No mention of the 300 being in the new offer

Its not about greed, they offered a £300 lump sum, and now they say the pay offer has been improved. You've posted you'd accept the old pay offer which included the £300, but if I read your comment correctly you'll now accept the previous offer, with only £100 of the £300 subsumed into pay. Thats a worse offer than RM are suggesting. Some suggest that strike breakers should not accept offers gained on the back of striking, but I have never heard of anyone who is willing to strike, also willing to get less than what's already on offer.

Tbt I was happy with the previous offer. The job I do I am happy with my pay but I do the job because I enjoy it not because of the money. I did not want the strikes a s that could have cost me the job I love. Also people don't realise on logistics we have different agreements and say if you lose your run it's 28 days notice and you lose your hours. Eg you have a 10 hour bill 5 days a week that's 50 hours, you lose run and you could be down to 25 hours with a months notice. Luckily at the Royal Mail you don't lose your job like at other firms but 25 hours could be a loss of £400 + in a month

Should have told him to wait and see if you turn up, as we have postponed the strike he might have to wait until the end of November.

The original £300 was in addition to the £200 at Christmas.

The £300 no longer exists unless it's in the new agreement, which you'd expect as RM know full well a sweetener will get people voting for a deal.

Apparently the new lump sum is £600 each plus the £200, all paid Christmas week, tax free and we all get a tin of quality street as well. And a toblerone.

Now surely whatever is eventually agreed if we do not strike they must pay us £300.

Or do I think its a phantom £300 to which so many conditions will be linked that we will never get it.
