Just heard this on BBC news 24. Apparently the stumbling block is flexibility, pay deal is agreed. No sellout please Billy and Dave, we want a good deal, and they can stick their flexibility. I do not want to be doing colleagues work for sweet FA when they are sick or on leave.

well the feeling i got from our Div rep last week was exactly that, the pensions are mess anyway and nothing we can do is going to fix it if the Gov are not going to step in ! TBH I`m really annoyed at the pensions being used in this current IA, the union IMO have known the state of play with it and it was not brought into the issue with the original ballot IMO !

Have you been on holiday? Pension robbery was slipped into RM,s proposed agreement on the last day of extended talks. CWU are trying to decouple pension talks from current dispute .

How can you ballot on cuts that have not been proposed? Or do you mean we should have a seperate ballot over pensions now the issue has been introduced?

what about d2d payments. this is potentially a 8-10% pay cut. this and pensions are my two biggest stumbling blocks. flexibility i personally think is a non starter because if we all do our jobs properly there won't be enough hours in the day to do bits of other walks so if they want to bring something in that we can make fail, let them

It was suggested that the union leaked it to the press, and they probably did. It is not true to say the union knew nothing of the proposals as they had been in consultation but were under the impression that the proposal had been rejected - then came the "bombshell".

Absolutely, but RM claimed these proposals were simply just one of many options under consideration and that they had rejected them.{lets forget the fact that they printed then shredded 170,000 glossy information packs detailing this rejected proposal}
How can you ballot the membership for action regarding changes that RM MIGHT introduce? We would have an awful lot of ballots
