The Exercise - Planning your delivery route.
A number of parcels are stacked inside a wheeled cage next to your van. Your manager confirms that these are your deliveries for the day and that you will be delivering parcels in two postcode areas; TY7 and TY8.
The parcel depot is in Broadfield, on a small industrial estate, which is in the TY7 postcode are. You will also deliver to the village of Cainton in the TY8 area and this area is slightly further away. You will be making a numbers of drops along the way and some of these drops may involve delivering more than one parcel to the same address.
In planning your route you should consider multi-drop opportunties and other time saving options for delivery, ensuring each customer received their parcel at the correct time.
The delivery manifest is below.
1. Before 12 noon, Jacksons Pet Shop, Lime Street, Cainton, TY8 5JU.
2. Before 9am, Unit 15, Redfield Industrial Estate, Broadfield, TY7 8UL.
3. International, Greens Solicitors, 111 London Road, Cainton, TY8 1HG.

Start with the Redfield Industrial Estate, presumably it's the place referred to as where your depot is. 2 & 5 are the same address. I'd do 2,5,6,7,4,8,1,3. That gets the early local calls done first and only leaves the 12:00 and the international for the distant village.
By the way, this is an absurdly fictional scenario. No driver has ever had only 8 calls in a day, with half of them being in the place where your depot is!
*edit: just noticed how old this thread is! My answer may be a bit late now.
