No deal has been done. There has to be a majority decision by the membership.

You won't know till the day itself. Even in a strong area I would expect RM to pre-position mail in DOs on the Saturday (with manager drivers and docket chasers), in less strong areas the mail will still be moving into Delivery Offices and between MCs. It will all be guesswork till the Tuesday morning - do what I do go in expecting to be rammed, which will be better anyway as you won't be able to do it all in your time and then the managers need to make decisions.
Can't see any DO being rammed. In previous strikes it's been that if your shift has already started by the time of the strike, you finish that shift and then if your next shift starts before the end of the strike, that's the shift that you're on strike for. That's the way I'm guessing it'll operate this time as well. With everyone being out, during that time there won't be any collections and the only stuff that would probably be processed in MCs by the managers and :silenced would be Tracked and Specials. If logistics staff are out as well (were logistics staff balloted as well?) then again the only stuff that will move between MCs and DOs will be driven by managers and :silenced .

Collections will probably be heavier on Tuesday and outward MCs would be rammed Tuesday afternoon and evening for 1C, Wednesday morning for 2C and inward MCs would be rammed probably both Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

DINGO! Have the union decided on the timing yet??????

Agreement is close :whistle :whistle

The timing of a strike has not been announced yet, only that it will happen on the 4th. So it could start on the 3rd or finish on the 5th.

.............but i'm thinking a strike will be averted, or delayed whilst negotiations continue, that's if they have not got an agreement by next week.
More will be known by the end of this week as the timings of the strike have to be given with 7 days notice.

Lets just hope the agreement we get is good enough, or we must Vote NO!!! telling HQ to go back and try again or on the gate it is!!!
