Door stepping isn't a problem at all.
Don't do it. Full stop.
Complaints cease.
Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.

That's great - really - but it's not a service we can sell to the people that give us most of our business.
Do you even work on deliveries any more? This is not about paying us to stop and chat it's about giving delivery staff an achievable workload. With an achievable workload you CAN spare 2mins for a quick word then rush round for the next 15mins to make up that lost time up. That's how it was always done, it had no adverse effect on the business, infact it's what gave Royal Mail it's good name - and a good reputation IS good for business. If you trust your postie you trust RM and you use the service more.

But what you have today is people rushing round for most if not all of their round and still being unable to complete the duty in the alloted time. The workload is simply excessive and it means you can't rush round to make up time - you are already rushing and falling short. And that is NOT 'introducing efficiencies' that rushing around is dangerous, unsafe and against RM's own H+S rules. Give us a reasonable amount of work, a fair amount for a fair days pay. We are being run into the ground, day after day.
