Somehow, it seems more geared to saving the Private firms money when they have to attempt delivery a number of times before the item is returned to their depot.

However, the Royal Mail succeeded in reducing the number of workers on strike late on Friday when it struck a deal with managerial staff over pay and pensions. It agreed to a pay increase of 2.5% backdated to April.
Don't recall seeing any 'managerial staff' on the picket line :crazy:

Sounds like Postcomm want to save the private firms money by saving them from building new depots, not saving the Post Office.
