MPU's and strike day

I just need to know where i stand (besides on the picket line)

I work night duties on CSS machines in a delivery office, obviously the strike is on the 4th November,
but has there been an official start time for the strike to start (my start time on the sunday night is 22:00) ?
i've no intention of scabbing, but i don't want to give our gaffer any opportunity to do me for abandonment of duty (and believe me she would).

For that to be the case the date of the ballot would have to be 3rd November.
The real answer is we'll have to wait and see but as always with these things you'll have at least 7 days notice of the exact timing of the strike.

The strike notice will give details but there are 3 main possibilities.

1. Everyone walks out at midnight (or whatever time the Union decide)
2. Those on shift at the time stay till the end of that shift, and strike the next shift as long as it starts before the strike finishes.
3. Those who have a shift over the start time, strike that shift, and then work the next one if it ends after the strike finishes.

There are of course other possibilities but it would takes ages to type out, these are the 3 most likely.

What about if you are a tuesday-saturday attendance,as its not rolling do you miss out?
