At least the scabby b*stards could try and think of something original as an excuse. All those (and more) have been done to death now.

For once I agree with Tman.
I'm personally sick to death of the hard luck stories over what will probably turn out to be a day here and a day there with plenty of opportunity in between to make up the lost money with overtime.
strike breakers know what they are and they know why they do it and in most cases it's f**k all to do with money.
Just do what you have to do,stop looking to justify it on here and don't cry about the consequences because you make your choices and you know the deal.

I don't think "scab" is a descriptive enough term for strike-breakers. There will be plenty in my office, and they know what they are. Many are proud to tell people even now that they won't be striking.I think a better word to describe them is "parasite". Most of them don't realise it, but that is exactly what they are, leeching off their colleagues sacrifice while still enjoying the better terms and conditions that previous IA has gained.

strikebreaker, scab, blackleg, knobstick, leech, etc, no matter what you call them, they all deserve the silent treatment. not bullying or harrassment. but send them all to coventry, and only speak to them when the job requires it. apart from that, as far as im concerned they are dead. they've decided to make themselves a pariah. so let them be outcasts in the workplace. feckm

a) scab , go to another office or sneak in to work u want that dam 300 quid.

b) go down and cause as much hassle at the gates with a sign talking to press , shouting and signing, snarling at strike breakers etc. Preparing the fire in the metal bins , preparing the sandwichs and tea .

b) go down to gates and casually hang around to see what is going on but not really causing to much mayhem , but there never the less. ( a bit worried what your manager will think of you standing around with the trouble makers)

c) stay in bed and watch it all unfold on bbc news. Call a few people.

d) Get drunk down the pub

e) Go on holiday

f) Want to scab but are scared of the backlash at the gates. And go down to see if the coast is clear. and if its not , join the mob at the gates.
