Brilliant. :Very Happy

Lino snook back in his office and said little since.

I won't let a manager belittle someone :cuppa
Some managers think they can talk to members of staff using any tone and not show them any respect at all thinking they can get away with it and it is important to stand up to them in this way. It is a form of B&H but perhaps on the fringes of what could be raised as a case. I've seen managers speak down to casual staff in very demeaning ways ... as if they are some way better than them, despicable behaviour that just should not be tolerated anywhere.

We have all been betrayed by our union.
On the only occasion that I decided to take matters to CWU head office, the branch rep tried to intimidate me into keeping my trap shut.

The harassment from management in our office is beyond a joke! For a small percentage of us, every day is a battle over why we're not doing our lapsed and why we will not flex! Our union rep seems to have lost his fighting spirit and just says there's nothing he can do about it! I'm at boiling point!

From Wikipedia regarding our intrepid leader:

After resigning from Bombardier at the end of 2004 following Tellier's departure, she was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Post on May 12, 2005.[3] During her period of tenure, she placed emphasis on cost cutting through cutting absenteeism, increasing automation and improved labour relations. The result was a trebling of Canada Post's profits to C$281 million (£183 million), despite a 5.1 per cent drop in revenues,[4] resulting in a two-year extension to her original five-year contract.[7] However, in her last year of tenure, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers marked her fourth anniversary with a report card, with the CUPW's President Denis Lemelin commenting: "If you compare the four years before Greene with the four years under Greene's management, the numbers show that injuries have gone up 15.4% and grievances have gone up 59.3%."[

Intimidation is rife in my office, lads who only want to work there contracted hours are being told its not the delivery that is too big its the piss poor performance of the postman ! You start culling the delivery the managers start testing the postman!! All you get is "your below the national standard" in our office now there are more CHIEFS than Indians managers drafted in from every corner of the globe to stand and watch you and maybe move a few empty trays around the office ..we are told that its working everywhere else in the country its just us !! one manager a female (lets say a fairly opinionated individual) ,who has on many occasion got the postmans "back up" has said in preston its working fine anyone on here confirm this or is this more BULLSHIT :evil/mad

I work in a small rural office where the dom has been investigated 3 times for bullying and harassment. The first time most of us were wary of speaking up and those who did were interviewed over and over again, then the person being bullied was sacked. The second time nobody would offer any information to the investigation team as we were scared of the repercussions. I told them I was scared of losing my job if I spoke up. The bullied staff member was also sacked. So the third time the investigation team arrived they were told by most of us that we refused to be interviewed because we couldn't afford to lose our jobs. Nothing was done about the manager and he still constantly talks to us like we are children and tells us we are useless at our jobs and struts around like he's untouchable.
I could go on but I fear I would bore everyone!

Not boring at all ruralpost and in fact very timely.

Under the auspices of the CWU there are to be "reviews" held in delivery offices to ascertain all the implications that concern delivery officers. Now you have pointed out exactly the problem because despite all the "trust us" bollocks, the plain fact is we don't. Very many people will be concerned of reprisal if they do criticise the offices they work in. These are visits to the very delivery office they work in and any criticism is hardly likely to be taken in good grace by the management.

I've just deleted a post where an unnamed member of the site said that your office 'should organise a good hiding for the scrote'

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Just how trivial can you get?
And we can take vans home :nana after making sure they are totally clear of elastic bands
