That's been going on for years and if only they (coleagues) had listened in first place then we wouldn't be running about daft trying to do the job of 3 men and even with using their cars. The union have tried to get everyone to stop using cars and stick to offical start times it falls on deaf ear for some of them any wonder why we are in this mess cause they are cutting their own throat :lfo :cfo
Only pleasure i get in life is...... chocorgasms

Cutting ya' own throats!
Well, we had been warned for years not to use ya' own cars and not to start until ya' official start times but being as deaf and maybe daft as most of the delivery staff. It maybe okay doin' things to make life easier and more convenient but now Royal Mail know that so it's down to the individuals to start to unite and working to the rules!
I remember the days when they use to have scheduled attendances that were for late acceleration! But everyone started using their cars thus Royal Mail are not gonna pay scheduled attendances out to driver who were not doing anything. So, that's an example how we cut our own throats! We are our own enemies. We have dug our own graves and still we don't want to listen and still just want this easy life which is just gonna get harder! What else is it goin' to take?

Yes, don't worry about rocking the boat. Do the job properly, they changed the start times not you. Your driver probably won't care either if he spends all day dropping bags off instead of delivering parcels and if he does, just point him onto this board for re-education.longwalkhome wrote:i have started a new walk a new office and have been starting early. now i am used to the frame i want to start at the new start time 0715. this will make all my bags late for drop off. i dont want to rock the boat to much in case i get thrown overboard, any advice!!!

Presumably, you are quicker now and therefore need less time in which to sort, therefore, you should be bagged-up for the time with which the driver is familiar: if this is not so, then you are in fact not up to speed on throwing out your frame. It would be better for you if you got up to speed and after that, considered changing your hours, accordingly.longwalkhome wrote:i have started a new walk a new office and have been starting early. now i am used to the frame i want to start at the new start time 0715. this will make all my bags late for drop off. i dont want to rock the boat to much in case i get thrown overboard, any advice!!!

It's up to the management to get your bags out to you whenever you need them not for you to work extra to accommodate themmajeed wrote:Presumably, you are quicker now and therefore need less time in which to sort, therefore, you should be bagged-up for the time with which the driver is familiar: if this is not so, then you are in fact not up to speed on throwing out your frame.
