How many hours are you paid for

I have 2 weeks work Monday to Friday 8hr shifts each day. How many hours am I actually going to be paid for?

Anyone who did it before how many hours where you paid for?

You will be paid for hours worked minus "official" break time.

The "official" break time will depend upon who you are working for - Angard or Royal Mail.

We get paid for 7.5 hours, I always thought that if you do an 8 hour shift you're entitled to a paid half hour break but apparently not.

if your a Christmas casual you will get one 10 minute break and one 30 minute break and will be paid for 7.5 hours

its the same for both although after 12 weeks with angard you are entitled to the same as a royal mail employee

No we still only get paid 7.5 hours even after 12 weeks, i've been on since last Xmas, strictly speaking we should only get a half hour break, the extra 10 minutes is a "Grace break" although i've never heard of anyone refused the extra break.

If you are Angard and have qualified for AWR your entitled to what the permanents get at the place you work. Each place can have slightly different rules on breaks dependent upon what was negotiated at local level.

If you are Angard and not qualified for AWR you are not entitled to as much as you say - take a look at the Royal Mail handbook for Angard Staff - copy on this site. Poor and illegal but that's what my MC tried to force us to work and is what they subtracted from our hours 2 years ago pre-AWR qualification,

If you are Royal Mail casual you are entitled to whatever the rules are for Royal mail casuals - this is not necessarily what the Royal Mail permanents receive and are certainly different to the entitlement of Angard casuals pre-AWR qualification.

Three threads by the same person asking the exact same thing. This was answered in both thread 1 and thread 2 so why a third on the same subject by the same person? Do not understand.
