Dear Colleague
Royal Mail Propaganda
The latest letter from the Chief Executive of the Royal Mail Group is an act of desperation and discrimination.
The legal and factual position is as follows:
The company cannot discriminate against any employee for supporting their Union in a legally constituted Ballot for Industrial Action.
Neither the Royal Mail Group nor CWU can ever reach an agreement that discriminates financially against any individual.
A final agreement will not be based on the previously rejected pay offer, or the content of the Chief Executive’s divisive letter and beliefs.
A final agreement will deliver an improved pay and reward package that treats everybody equally – along with further company concessions on all the issues involved in this dispute.
The Chief Executive’s position is not sustainable.
Your collective strength will be the decisive factor - vote yes.
Yours Sincerely

Re: Your £300 Lump Sum
Royal Mail can't think it's that "pointless" if it's stooping to the depths of bribing staff to come in. I wonder how the money will be paid? A discreet brown envelope handed out in the dusty shadows of the old bike sheds maybe?(probably just contain an iou)post_bitch wrote:Managers will call a meeting the day before strikesand will be like " EVERYONE COMING IN TO GET THERE £300 + DUTY PAY SEE U IN THE MORNING EVERYONE THAT IS STANDING IN THE COLD PISSING RAIN ON THERE POINTLESS STRIKE.. A phantom 300 pounds from a phantom pay deal.
I'll be eating Aldi saver beans and bread every day before i lower myself to the standards set by this Royal mail hierarchy.

Re: Your £300 Lump Sum
I am not trying to discredit the union but they say the deal Royal Mail have put forward is illegal. So In this case a promise of monies would not amount to anything and not ruin them financially. Secondly if the offer is put to the whole workforce then I don't see it as illegal. It's your democratic right to withdraw your labour in an official legal strike. Also as I have said before I don't think there will be a strike as deatl of the century will be coming..TrueBlueTerrier wrote:cloherty1976 wrote:If this is true why don't the union put on the bottom of this letter that they would reimburse any one who went on strike the£300 they could lose if that's the case. so you want the CWU to compensate for an illegal act by the Royal Mail. Or are you and Moya trying to discredit the Union as well as ruining them financially.

This offer of £300 to favoured employees isn't much difference to the offer of extra money for favoured teachers, dressed up as so called Performance Relate Pay, which has resulted in strike action called by the NUT.

How many people complained?Brain Fury wrote:People complained - RM agreed - apparently that's wrong.
If the majority complained then the strike ballot would be a failure.
If only a handful complained then why should they be listened to. That's hardly democratic, now is it?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Your £300 Lump Sum
The letter with Moya Greene's name on the bottom offering £300 to people who do not take "action" is factually and legally incorrect. That poses three questions:
Will she write to each employee and apologise for posting us misleading information? (She loves writing to us!!). Note that I'm being generous using the word misleading.
As she has been proved to have put her name to an enormous gaffe despite the vast sums she is being paid, will she resign?
As she is guilty of discrimination on a grand scale, should she actually be sacked for being in breach of the companies policy on discrimination?

It was a typo that's all... done early in the morning when still waking up and posting on here.Lincox wrote:Why vote NO then wabbithunta?
I was saying NO to the 300 quid.. and NO to accepting anything from this lot.
NO to accepting this ludicrous offer/bribe from them. And NO to any offer they make that is not acceptable.
I'm on the line with everyone one else who walks out at my office and will do so again as and when required to be on the picket line.
