I was asking about this £300 lump sum today! Is it £300 in addition to our pre arranged £200 Xmas bonus?

Remember this £300 lump sum only applies if your office is not involved in industrial action, it is not applied individually. So my reading is if 1 member of the union in your unit takes strike action nobody gets it.
My lot have already been warned that the £300 isn't coming their way.

Why people keep harping on about lump sums, pay rise etc is beyond me. RM offered a deal which we turned down because of the constraints therefore there is no lump sum, no %age pay rise or anything else. We strike, they make a new offer eventually, we agree eventually.

I hope reps in all the offices are telling everyone this fact.
I expect a lot of gullible posties will think they will get the £300 if they vote no regardless of whether the vote is unanimous in their office or not.

You will only lose the £300 if you personally take industrial action. Blatant attempt to cause bad feelings in every office in the country. Can this be legal? This looks like a direct attempt at bribery and I seem to recall a couple of years back Royal Mail trying to say that Christmas tips could be seen as a bribe. Anyway this is going to make those members who break any industrial action even less popular.

The letter is totally irrelevant and has been sent to sway a vote. There is no agreement on the table, so no £300 for anyone until CWU have asked the membership to agree a package. If that package contains £300 only to those who did not strike, the package will never get through, so as said before, totally irrelevant.

Have not received the letter but from other crap I have pushed at me this was the intended threat.
If she has now gone down the individual route I feel this leaves RM open to legal action.

If the strike is strong, RM Will be paying people who sign in £300 to do NOTHING aa as there will be no mail to deliver. As a Shareholder I will write to Moya T and object to the flagrant waste of money which would be better used to increase my Dividends!
