Another day, another letter to wipe my arse on from Moya. This one hits a new low though, even for RM. Strike breakers will be paid the £300 bonus at Christmas but anyone striking won't.

That's a few more who will be going in, I don't think there will be many at our office (it's usually the same 3 or 4 people) but I suspect this will push a few more into working during any strikes.

Hopefully anyone that does go in spends the £300 on something useful, like a clapped out car with rotten brake lines (that's a joke for any journalists reading )

Well, sadly a DEAL!

RM continues to play a blinder and this latest one might have come a tad late but this will sway a few 'undecided' out there.

As the union has rejected this offer, then in order that all members who actually do strike are not out of pocket, the union should not accept any deal that involves a lump sum that can be taken away by Royal Mail from the strikers.

I just had a discussion with a colleague who has already voted Yes but was not going for a Strike for financial reasons. I told him that he was going to lose his bonus regardless of whether he breaks the strike or not. And I was like I am undecided but will definitely go out on a Strike if the majority votes for it.

However, my opinion has now changed completely against the strike ballot and even going out on Strike. It is not about the money - but why lose money every which way (wages and bonus) for an action that will likely achieve nothing but some sort of similar Deal that we have on the table.

In addition, some of the big hitters in my office are not actually part of the Union anymore. They even broke the last strike which I was not really aware of. And there are some with serious financial problems. The strike turnout will most likely be about 60% - why bother when I was never convinced anyways.

I think the Ballot is now looking precarious for the Union. I doubt it will be above 75% and that will be damaging to them. I still do not think there is going to be a STRIKE.

Is it legal to bribe people to break a strike?

What are the union doing about it?

Me personally, I will ensure that any member who chooses to work and take the £300 will not ever be represented by me ever again, and I hope the CWU has the balls to expel these people. They do not deserve the title "union member"

In order for members to have a chance of taking a bribe for not striking they must first secure a mandate for striking by voting Yes.
It's only common sense.

Screw the £300.

Work out how much money Moya has cost you in lost duties, lost OT, lost SA, lost night turns and lost hours for everybody.

Think of the bullying management culture she has nurtured and encouraged.

Think of the piles of undelivered parcels and mail clogging up your office last Xmas, not because of strike action but because of poor management and the complete collapse in the standard of service offered to customers.

Moya has been in charge for 1,225 days so far. That £300 works out at less than 25p per day of putting up with her making your life, and that of your colleagues, significantly worse. That wouldn't get you a lousy cup of coffee from one of the overpriced vending machines that have replaced the closed down canteens in most offices.

Mull it over during your next 20 minute break before your 5 hour delivery.

No it hasn't.
If you can be bought off with £300 pro-rata then you were never going to strike.
Think about where that £300 is coming from,Royal Mail does not have an infinite money tree.
It will come from whatever was in the pot for a negotiated pay deal so whenever that pay deal is finally settled it will be £300 lighter for everyone.
You are basically being bribed with your own money,I thought you were smart.

Ffs the only vote is a big big YES !,, if you're quite new to the job few months or a few years well you're job will be in jeopardy if we don't get a huge yes vote . Youlle be the first jobs to go . Think about the future .
