Is the £300 separate from the Christmas £200? Or is it one of the same?

:hmmmm Good question Jesus, one I've asked before but without result. My theory is they are trying to bamboozle the punters into thinking it's £300 new money when in fact it's £100 and £200 being the original Christmas bonus agreed last year otherwise I'm sure they would be spouting £500. The union should be clarifying things like that but they seem reluctant to engage RM at all...........even the bus has been parked in the terminus.

If the £300 lump sum was tied into the agreement and our union have rejected it, how can they make agreements with individuals?

This woman Is clever ! I did post on here after so many said they would refuse there shares that I would be surprised if it went above 1% of workforce about 1500 people . They say 100 which does show how people can be turned by cash. I think the union better start thinking about there position very quickly as this is going to weaken them in the short and long term. Remember she is offering over £40,000,000 to employees. Be interesting when they give out their figures on what's paid out or how many go into work.
It could turn out to be a very cheap £300.00 when their shown the door in three years.

Legally the CWU can't expel or discipline people for crossing a picket line - see http://www.bis.gov.uk/assets/biscore/em ... keting.pdf:
59. Everyone has the right to decide for himself whether he will cross a picket line. Disciplinary action should not be taken or threatened by a union against a member on the grounds that he has crossed a picket line.

60. If a union disciplines any member for crossing a picket line, the member will have been "unjustifiably disciplined". In such a case, the individual can make a complaint to an industrial tribunal. If the tribunal finds the complaint well-founded, it will make a declaration to that effect.

61. If the union has not lifted the penalty imposed on the member, or if it has not taken all necessary steps to reverse anything done on giving effect to the penalty, an application for compensation should be made to the Employment Appeal Tribunal(EAT). In any other case, the individual can apply to an industrial tribunal for compensation. The EAT or tribunal will award whatever compensation it considers just and equitable in all the circumstances subject to a specified maximum amount. Where the application is made to the EAT, there will normally be a specified minimum award.

They make executive calls and pay the employee who has a contract with Royal Mail not the union. Remember in the past they have paid payrises before the union have agreed a deal. If the union still fight and agree more they would then pay the extra

Patronising b***s**t. How does the woman sleep at night? Cos i aint sleepin too well. And it aint £300....not to us part-timers anyway, pro-rata, and taxed. Judgin by the LACK of attendance at our recent union meeting at our office, surprisingly few are bothered anyway.

75,000 go on strike = £22,500,000

115,000 in RM pay subs lets say £3.23 a week (no political fund as it can't be used) = £19,315,400.

So even the annual subs if everyone was full time would not cover it..

Good idea to negate the propaganda - pity it would bust the CWU in the process.
