The increase to £1000 is indeed welcome but i find the info on the website lacking and confusing. I can't see a way to see the weekly payments without imputing all my details and from what i can see you apply for the exact amount for the bike?
Also can you still get Halfords to source a non Halfords brand as i have done in the past and keep the 10% discount or do you have to use an independent bike shop and drop down to 5% discount?
My £500 l.o.c got authorised today, and i have decided to cancel it, as their are now far more options with upto 1k to spend, i asked if i could use leisure lakes bikes as with the previous scheme and was told this is fine, but i cannot take the voucher directly into leisure lakes unless i inform the cycle to work team of the bike I wish to have, i was told i could call them whilst instore to generate the order. The only issue i can see is that if i chose £1000 and the bike i wish to have is only 750 etc will they need to know what other accessories (safety allegedly) i will be purchasing? as i dont know what bike i want yet i could have 250 excess to spend on safety, thats a hell of a lot of lights, bells, helmets etc. Does anyone know if clothing is classed as safety accesories?
One thing to bear in mind when pricing a bike on the cycleplus scheme is look out for extra charges like this from planet x bikes.

Now that the max has gone up to £1000, I have been looking at electric bikes. A couple of ebike shops I have browsed say that you can purchase one for, say, £1400 by paying £1000 for the bike & £400 for battery + delivery etc. My legs are getting a bit old.
