Lol yeah I have a feeling that'll be the case when I go tomorrow, I'll just wear dark chinos with a shirt or something. What do the security checks involve? Is it all paperwork?

Ahh I was thinking you'd do them while you're there. So you just leave it all to them?

They go through the application on the day - checked you've filled everything in correctly, signed everything, copies match the originals, etc. - but the actual security check is done closer to your start date. All job offers are provisional are been cleared.

re. dress code. Going on experience, the vast majority go casual. And by casual, I mean very, very casual. Trackies and a hoody are de rigueur. Some people do turn up in suits, but it's mostly older blokes who have likely recently been made redundant. Personally, I doubt most who go in 'office wear' really know what the jobs entails or what they're letting themselves in for.
