Better to fight standing on our feet, then to serve on our knees !

Very well put.Lincox wrote:If you vote no and this is a majority vote, then basically any form of collective bargaining within Royal Mail will be gone forever. Royal Mail will deem this as a mandate to ostracise CWU from our workplace, and an easy route to diminish earnings, reduce benefits, partition sections of the business for further privatisation, franchise elements of the business, introduce lower paid second tier workforce, increased zero hour contracts, and worst still increase pressures on workloads which in turn will increase the bullying and harassment. If you see a no vote or a yes vote as the same evils and fail to vote, I hope for your sake and that of all our colleagues that a resounding yes vote is the result, because the future without it will be unimaginable compared to the present.
You do the work, they get the loot. The men with the smiles and the 3 piece suits.

But at least you get the feeling of self worth that you had a small part in whatever happens, whichever way you vote.Cut Off King wrote:The fact is, if I vote NO, then RM will screw me.
if I vote YES, then the CWU will screw me with a deal for more D2D's, no driving allowance and increased workload ect.
I can't win......so why vote...I lose either way.

Re: Industrial Action ballot 2013 how did you vote
Even those who do not wish to strike should vote yes. The bigger the majority the better the negotiating stick becomes! If when the day comes some people do not wish to go on strike then so be it. But thier best way to avoid a strike really is to arm the CWU with as much backing as possible in order to try and get a deal without the need for industrial action.
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

Are ballot papers still being posted out to members?
And what is the closing date to post them back?
I find it quite scary that 17 on these forums still have not received their ballot papers.
How many would not get their papers in the actual ballot?
It could run into thousands of members that don't get the chance to vote.
