Surely rule #1 of negotiation is you throw a whole bunch of demands in and hope to come out with just a few, and claim a victory?
That's just the legally binding protections side of things, does anyone have a list of all the other demands? i.e. an end to unrealistic work demands, office bullying etc? Or are the union still working on that one?

Re: Legally Binding Protections.
Those extra points you mention are part of the rest they are asking for.
Namely an end to chaotic absorbing, what is a fair days for for a fair days pay and when will the dims and linos stop bullying and harassing us.
Oh and when will they tell the truth about mail left in offices.
I saw an office today rammed with mail, that even the manager was unaware of
Common practice apparently

Your quite right Fishtank but remember in those days I used to do all the docket I could get and take an extra walk too. This as you know was all done off the shoulder and remember when you did not have the seniority you used to get the worst walks. Remember in those days seniority meant something and they used to let you know. Good old days never the less.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:

So pre SDD when duties were around 2.5 hours on a bad day - now double that on a good day and you might be approaching reality.

Well they seem to have been well protected with the Joint Business structure they've had for the last 3 years - it's perhaps more a question of us needing to be protected from ourselves, always considering "we" are the unionfishtank wrote:I'm more worried about the business proposition.dvbuk55 wrote:Is this just pap for the troops or is it a serious proposition.
