You may or may not be a manager, I don't care - but if you think you can take the £300 and run then you are a misguided fool, or a troll.

The offer that included the £300 christmas bonus was rejected by the Union, because of the Consultative Ballot result. It may or may not come back in a new offer, but at the moment it does not exist, there is no £300 bonus.

If we get a NO vote I seriously doubt that RM will honour any previous offer anyway. They will know they hold the high ground and they will squeeze us as much as they think then can. I can see the full offer being withdrawn and a pay freeze imposed if we return a NO vote.

Therefore if you want the £300 your best chance, in my opinion, is to vote YES in the ballot.

As I understand it - if there is any industrial action in an office you would lose £300 but since we have no deal it is irrelevant anyway! Vote yes as a no confidence vote in CWU will give RM the power to ignore the union in future.

However, my ballot paper arrived this morning and I voted YES, I'm in the fortunate position of not worrying over loss of pay, terms and conditions or pension because I'm not poor, I already get the pensions I'm entitled to and if it transpires that the T&Cs become untenable I'll simply retire - reluctantly but nevertheless the option is there.

I am all for people having different points of view but this vote really is a no brainer, voting no is just a vote against yourself for worse conditions, lower pay and degradation of your contract. It always annoy me that people who vote no are quite willing to accept any gains that a yes vote brings, pity there's not a way that no voters could have the original deal, ah well I can dream
