I am not a manager I'm a driver for parcel force. I don't think we should strike. We will be privatised what ever happens. We can't strike over that as it's the government dissison not Royal Mail. The Royal Mail won't be bought by a competitor because they won't want the 1 price goes anywhere which part of the deal. Who ever buys Royal Mail can't just break it up and take the good bits. The strike can't be over pay as negations are still on going. The 3 yr no changing anything will carry on after the 3yrs, anything that the new owner/s will still need to negotiate with the union and share holders which we as employees will be part of. There seems to be a lot of scare mongering not sure where it's coming from but it doesn't help. Just the threat of a strike has put jobs at risk. A strike will screw us right up.

Yes I agree with you and do think parcelforce have a lot to lose and not a lot to gain. Coventry is a great distribution centre and puts the letters side hubs to shame.

Very few at our place will strike and I suspect that those who do strike around the country will only strike for a few days.
