Grievance one year on

I`ve had a grievance in for over a year and its really going round in circles, managers and the union dont seem interested in getting this resolved!
Basically i picked a full time duty 5 years ago after a major revision in our office, never been put on the duty and am still on a 30 hour contract. Should i be full time and should i be on the duty i picked as i was high enough in seniority to pick it? The one brief conversation i had with my manage he told me all the part timers where told pre re pick that if they had enough seniority to pick a full time duty they wouldn`t get the hours! I`ve asked manager ater manager for paper work reguarding my grievance being dealt with but they can`t provide me with any because they haven`t any.
The area rep and local rep really aren`t interested in helping so any advice would be much appriciated!

Contact Bob Gibson's office and get advice from there if your local/area Reps aren't interested.

If vacancies were displayed and you were senior enough to get one without displacing a full timer then the duty is yours. Seniority rules. Ring your branch secretary with name of rep and area rep and get him/her to ask why you have been left hanging.

That's an interesting read,is picking a duty in the revision 5 years ago the same as an internal application for a duty, not to clued up on the wording of that agreement

it is now 18 months since I submitted my grievance against my manager. I'm hopeful it will be resolved soon after stalling several times. The whole process is a sham.

Yeah it's that too plus a few other stronger words I can think of. Regarding timescale, according to my rep its 28 days.

No grievance is ongoing due to the fact that you are NOT in the duty and until such time the grievance runs!
