I was probably one of the first to apply and never heard anything. Then from Application Received to Application Withdrawn in an instant.
did you resign and get your p45 from Angard?

Didn't resign, I was advised not too from this forum. I kept in contact with Angard for a while and never had a single shift, so in the end stopped phoning. Then in early July received my P45. Never misbehaved or never not turned up, so it can't be discipline surely?

ah right, nooo i was just thinking if you were on angard's books that might be why it said withdrawn as it said not to apply.

How is it best to dress for the registration event. Do you go in shirt & trousers or just casual ?

I was one of the only suited up guys at my event

I find it quite interesting that there didn't seem to be many shifts left when it came to my registration yesterday, but the Royal Mail Jobs site is still taking applications from more people :hmmmm

What is the interview process like this year? Same as last year? Is there a computer test like last year? My interview was 2 hours last year and only one hour this year and the location is different.

I just had my forms checked by one girl, had them checked again by other people - who they were obviously just trying to find a use for - and chose my shift, and then had my photo taken.

Yeh i applied for mdec within the hour it was first posted here. I recieved a text the next day and Booked and assesement which i chose the first available one. Somehow they had already filled up about 200 of the 700 jobs at this mdec but we were the first booked interviews lol was wierd. Pretty sure anyone who had interviews booked for after the day i went wont get the main shift because it was almost full already.

Glad i got in early. the shift i applied for is about 190 hrs total, the other shifts were between 60-140 so obviously everyone wants that shift.

Still waiting on security checks had appointment on the 11th with angard. They said 1-2weeks and i should get a phonecall confirming the job and shift. well 2weeks today and no call. Im wondering if something went wrong or if their just running behind schedual. Wish i could get hold of them to find out if i got the job or not would stop me worrying lol.

yeh they should stop recruiting people. They had 1,000 applications for 650 vacancys in plymouth by the 11th, so they had enough applications already so why they are still recruiting now i dont know

I'm slowly starting to doubt I will even get a job at this point... or at least not one that will start before December :(
