I am sort of glad I'm not the only one stuck on application received. If I was I'd be incredibly worried. Seems to be quite a lot of us without any updates to our application, a process that has usually been quick in the past. I have seen people getting all excited because of the interview dates, yet people like us still do not have a clue what is happening.
I have worked there before, and I know for a fact the later the interview the less weeks you get, so I'm just hoping no interviews have been booked in for the Manchester Mail Centre yet, and it's all a delay.
To those who haven't received an email about what documents to bring, just ring the helpline and they will forward you the documents to print off.
I've gone for the manchester mail centre and I got a similar email as to when they would get back to me, logged in to my account and it said I had to book an interview slot yet I hadn't received any email informing me that I'd been invited to one.
^ lucky. If anybody gets an email from Gateshead let us know! This is very worrying, I was kinda hoping to start earlier this year to, guess thats not happening.
Worked at da mount pleasant depot last year ...and its still saying application received ...although last year i applied on da 5th of sept and i was called for registration on da 25th...sooo hoping for smeting before da end of da week or am gnna start losing hope
I finally received an update to my application Guess what it says? "Application Withdrawn" I guess that has put the end of a return to the mail this year lol. Funny and frustrating at the same time.
I was probably one of the first to apply and never heard anything. Then from Application Received to Application Withdrawn in an instant.
Mines on the 7th of Oct, it's at a hotel.
Last year the registration event was in a board room at the sorting office, makes me wonder if the interviews are going to be a bit more than "choose your shift".

Does'nt it usually say "Application unsuccessful" if you don't make the cut?
I've only heard of people getting the "Application withdrawn" when you withdraw it yourself eg. for entering the wrong info, etc. i could be wrong though..

That seems weird.
Quite a dickish thing for them to do as well, especially without even contacting you or anything.

Did anyone have an interview in Motherwell before 3PM? I guess I'll need to wait patiently on that early start phonecall again.
Same here , apparently they pick certain candidates for the earlier interview slots. However on my sheet they put ASAP for the start date in the hope I get a phone call
